The library knowledge base project created an online database of questions and answers about library policies and procedures. The library knowledge base
is available from the Gottesman Libraries homepage with assistance available on the full range of library services. The system serves as a resource for both library patrons and library staff.
As the system is used by staff and patrons to address questions, the questions and answers are captured to the knowledge base where they are available through auto searching the next time a similar question is posed. Over time the system develops automated responses to a wide range of patron questions. The system is also used by library staff to record library policies.
