Isabella Cruz-Chong is an interdisciplinary artist and a supporter of collective cultures. She takes on the roles of maker, designer, educator and researcher. Isabella graduated from Parsons School of Design with an MFA in Design and Technology and she received her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Isabella's practice often comes from her experience of growing up crossing the international border between Tijuana, Mexico and San Diego, California. Her interests address boundaries, liminality, unification and multi-sensory experiences with a desire to foster self-awareness and blur lines between divisive perspectives. She often uses visual design, sound, physical computing, visual communication, programming and photography.
