Currently a graduate student in Quantitative Methods of Social Sciences (M.A.) at Columbia University, Yang is passionate about applying her knowledge in statistics, data visualization together with state-of-the-art methodologies to understand and improve technology products.
Yang is now a data scientist summer intern with EdLab Development and Research Team. Her primary research involves designing machine learning features to cluster learners based on learning science theories. At the same time, she performs text analysis, visualizes analytical results and prototypes for product innovations. To facilitate research communication with EdLabbers, she creates two mSchool courses “Text Mining on Vialogues” and “Mining Learning Activities on Vialogues” as well as weekly research blog updates.
Yang explores the world by studying, tasting and working in North America, Europe and Asia to fulfill her curiosity. Her previous research covered entrepreneurship, venture creation, economic policy and cross-border M&As. She holds dual degree in International Management (MSc.) from Bocconi University and Fudan University.
