In August, Lauren moved to New York from Chicago to receive her master's degree in library and information science at Pratt Institute. She is currently focusing her studies on academic libraries and information economics. Lauren also works at The Pratt Center for Community Development as the assistant to the director of development and volunteers with NYPL's Correctional Services Program.
Although TC is a bit of a commute from Fort Greene, Brooklyn where Lauren lives, she knew that she wanted to be a part of the library team from the moment she first read about EdLab's mission to engage in research to understand and explore the future of education. Lauren believes in learning and teaching through inquiry, and is truly excited to jump right into the forward-thinking and innovative environment of TC.
