Roy B Kim is pursuing a Computer Science B.S. degree at Stony Brook University, and has very recently become an intern in the EdLab Development & Research Group.
He first decided to be a Computer Science major after a strong sequence of great teachers in high school. With the additional influence of an older brother who is working towards becoming an educator, Roy B Kim is happy to work to make life easier for teachers with all his strength. He could not be here today without his unforgettable teachers.
Holding deep respect for those who work hard, Roy volunteered at the Korean Community Center of New York, where he taught seniors word processing, Powerpoint, and how to send out email to a group mailing list. Seniors at KACCNY have to work harder to learn computer skills when compared with people who have grown up with technology; they made Roy want to give his very best too.
His most favorite topics in Computer Science are broadly centered around Computation and Algorithms, which he believes to be as beautiful as the films and works of art that he so loves. Roy is enamored with the piano as well.
This is Roy B Kim's very first internship experience, and he is absolutely thrilled to be at EdLab!
