Nara has always had a passion for both art and technology, and is particularly psyched about spaces where they overlap. She graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in May 2010 with a BFA in Communication Design and a minor in Computer Science, but she felt like she had not done enough work that made equal use of both of her skill sets, so she went on to attend the Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP)
at NYU for her Masters. At ITP, she developed in interest in games for learning and educational technology, and having always had a desire to work on projects with a social impact, she joined the EdLab in November of 2012 as a software engineer.
At EdLab, Nara is the lead developer on both Survey Sidekick and our upcoming reboot of the mSchool project. In the past, she has also contributed bugfixes and feature development to Vialogues and New Learning Times.
Nara speaks 7 languages, is a connoisseur of tea, collects anything penguin-related, and loves to travel.
