Johnson Asase Jr. was born in Ghana and migrated to United States during his early teenage years. He attended DeWitt Clinton High School
in the Bronx from 2001 to 2005, where he was a member of the swimming team during his freshman and sophomore years. Johnson was also a member of the ARISTA National Honor Society due to his academic achievements.
Johnson is currently a junior at Buffalo State College, studying Biology and Chemistry with aspirations of becoming a pharmacist when he graduates. At Buffalo State, Johnson is a member of the Caribbean Students Organization(CSO) and the African American Students Organization(AASO).
Johnson is an avid reader of the Science Daily and PLOS, (a peer-reviewed open-access journal published by the Public Library of Science) to keep up to date on the latest research news and science headlines. He also enjoys watching soccer, although pro-football, college football and basketball rank amongst his favorites. He enjoys listening to all kinds of music as long as it sounds good. Johnson hopes to be a successful pharmacist in the future and acknowledges that with hard work comes success and is willing to follow that path in order to achieve his goal.
