Demetri has earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, and afterwards he began working at the ground floor of the Gottesman Library for two and a half years.There he worked as a Library Associate, managing the historical items in basement (Rooms 4 & 5) and overseeing the reclassification projects which included, updating call numbers, integrating collections, and taking inventory of certain items. He is also an expert in using Innovative Millennium, for tasks such as, backing up patron information, uploading e-books, and e-journals into the Gottesman Library's database, EDUCAT. He has been working on fully automating the Demand Driven Acquisitions (DDA) process.
Currently working in the Edlab as an Innovative Fellow he is leading the digitization project of Teachers College's archival materials, and is the product manager for the Learning Technology Database, a project that gathers the most notable educational technologies into one database and deeply evaluates them. He supports the development of products like Survey Sidekick, and Pocket Knowledge through research and adding new content for each. He also has an interest in the STEM fields and looks into new ways of better engaging young students in STEM education.
Interests include learning about the secrets of universe and space travel.
