What a school thinks about its library is a measure of what it feels about education.
–Harold Howe, leading American educator and Civil Rights activist.
For those of us who work in a library, we know it’s a service-first gig. We’re in the industry of resourcefulness: patrons have questions, we help them find their answers. The challenge in front of us today is what more can we do to help patrons help themselves when they are in search of need-to-know info?
Our mission at this seminar is to evaluate the current state of affairs on our own library website. In what ways are we serving the needs of our patrons? What opportunities are there for improvement? Through an intense set of design research activities, we will work together to create a shared vision of the future of our online library presence.
