richcollege Earlier this year, the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) released endowment market values for hundreds of higher education institutions in the United States. The ten institutions with the largest endowment includes four ivy league universities and three public institutions (two in the state of Texas alone). Here is the complete list of the top ten richest colleges along with their endowment values:

1. Harvard University - $31,728,080,000

2. Yale University - $19,374,000,000

3. University of Texas - $17,148,649,000

4. Princeton University - $17,109,508,000

5. Stanford University - $16,502,606,000

6. Massachusetts Institute of Technology - $9,712,628,000

7. University of Michigan - $7,834,752,000

8. Columbia University - $7,789,578,000

9. Northwestern University - $7,182,745,000

10. Texas A&M - $6,999,517,000

What are your opinions on these figures? Do you think it's reasonable for a college to have funds greater than the GDP of some third world countries?
