Hi, my name is Ola I am currently a Teachers College student working on my masters in psychology.
Where’s your hometown? Krakow, Poland. Born there, moved to America when I was 8. Your favorite food? That’s a hard one because I love food, but I’m going to go with anything that involves potato. Because potato is the greatest food ever created. It is delicious and incredibly versatile: you can have it as dinner for example mashed potatoes, it can be turned into a snack like potato chips, and it can be turned into a liquid. Genius! Song you love no matter how many times you hear it: Anything by Dragonette, because they are the best band most people haven’t heard of. I could also listen to Amanda Palmer forever. A country you’d like to visit? I would like to visit the world! But I guess at the moment Japan, Greece, and Peru top my list. What did you want to be when you grew up? When I was little I wanted to be a teacher, chef, actress, spice girl.....the usual. What was your first job? My first job was a hostess at the chic and trendy Ruby Tuesdays. I know what you’re thinking: how did I ever land such a glamorous job? Two words: industry contacts. A book you strongly recommend? Stiff by Mary Roach, The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat by the amazing Oliver Sacks, and the super addicting Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson A sport you enjoy playing (or watching)? I LOVE playing and watching volleyball, Keri Walsh may be the best volleyball player around. I also greatly enjoy watching soccer, though I’m still not ready to talk about Germany. TOP THREE…. ...Favorite places in NYC? Mayahuel - my favorite place to eat; Hudson River Park - its a great place to take a walk, run, read, people watch, sit and relax; The Mars Bar!!!!! - ok technically since it closed a few month ago it is no longer a real place, but it will ALWAYS be a part of my soul. …Best places to read? The subway, any NYC park, and the LIBRARY of course!! … Favorite authors or books? I will read anything by Oliver Sacks, Mary Roach and Michael Pollan. My favorite books: America (The Book) by Jon Stewart, Catch 22 by Joseph Hellar, Stiff by Mary Roach. Strangest thing ever done: One afternoon I sat through an introductory seminar at the Scientology center in was frightening.
