A glimpse into how educators are thinking about student data privacy
{{unknown}}
On Monday, Sept 21, the Future of Privacy Forum and Data Quality Campaign hosted the 2015 National Student Privacy Symposium. The symposium schedule provides a useful document of organizations and leaders involved in this issues and how the discussion is framed in education. What initially brought me to this symposium was a post by Kerry Gallagher, a technology specialist and panelist at the symposium, on how educators can think through the complexity of issues concerning data privacy. Her brief reflections on OER and digital formative assessment tools echoes some of the topics brought up in class!
