When trying to browse some high-quality educational blogs and connect their impact on teaching and learning, I feel hard to define "high-quality": Does popularity (number of visits) represent high quality? Does the writing style matter? What are some other aspects I need to consider?
I notice there are a few online blog awards going on every year. eSchoolNews
, and edublog
, are the three major awarders. While the latter two use poll to collect votes for winners, eSchoolNews made specific criteria
(first page) in 2006 for its "Best of the Education Blog" awards by a group of professionals. I am thinking of further developing this criteria to evaluate some selected blogs. Any thoughts on it?
