WWDC 2017

WWDC is Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference where they release new products and software updates. The keynote took place yesterday and there are some interesting new tools to experiment with in iOS development. Here are some things I found interesting:

ARKit (Augmented Reality Kit):

- This could be used for data visualization and interactive exhibits at Edlab

MLKit (Machine Learning Kit): This has OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and face recognition built in.

HomePod: Apple’s new home speaker. It has Siri and access to Apple Music, but the really cool part is the speaker. It adjusts the sound based on the speaker’s location and steers the music in the optimal direction.

Here’s a quick summary of WWDC if you are interested: https://youtu.be/S8PBiZlR56Q
