Girls Who Code
There is a high need for STEM workers in the coming decade. There is a great need to include women in that field. According to the National Girls Collaborative Project (NGCP), women make up 47 percent of the United States workforce. However, they are underepresented in STEM with less than 20 percent representation. Girls Who Code is an initiative that wants to bridge that gap through inspiration, education, and equipping girls with computer skills. The nonprofit organization aim to reach gender parity in the computing fields by exposing girls to computer science at a young age.
