Art Education in the Age of Technology and Diversity
I came across an interesting article which emphasized on a project and a app called the El Camino Project. This project seeks to boost pre college courses with culturally relevant musical content for Hispanics. Children with an education enriched in arts have to possibility to produce better academic results. The project was designed for Hispanics students for several reasons. Most attend poor schools, which has a tendency to cut art education. Hispanic students traditionally acquire the least art education. About 30% Hispanics students are under the poverty mark.
