STEAM is the New STEM
A workshop was recently held at Prescott College for Yavapai County teachers and students. Most teachers that attended were there to learn more about science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM). The main goal of this workshop was to get teachers to collaborate together to create new learning techniques for the students. During the workshop, a math teacher stated that both STEM and STEAM
are missing in school classrooms.
At the workshop, one overriding question was what can be done to prevent airlines from loosing billions of dollars caused by bugs in planes? Some schools might be able to allow the students to work on an alternative solution in an engineering class.
