Girl Scouts host STEM College Prep Camp
We are all aware of the need to close the gender STEM gap. To this end, the Girls Scouts are offering a STEM College Prep Camp. This camp, focused mainly towards high school girls, wants to help young girls towards careers in STEM and empower them to become leaders. During the week long camp, the students will be offered activities and courses such as biomedicine, food science, and field trips. They also got the chance to work for themselves. They were able to build rockets and use 3D printers. Overall, it seems the camp was able to inspire the young girls into potentially pursuing a career in STEM.
