Student Debt and Degree Attainment
Education has and remains one of the best ways to ensure a stable life. The means by which we acquire it has changed so much in recent times that it has led to a rethink of our entire education system, especially higher education and its rising costs. This NY Times piece looks at the overall debt for students who end up with a degree of some sort. It paints a rather decent picture of student debt (contrary to popular belief), especially for undergraduates. The rate is much higher for students at for profit schools and those who seek professional degrees, especially in law and medicine.
