Intel's $300 Million For Diversity
Civil activists have criticized big tech companies for having a low representation of minorities and lack of diversity in their work force. Most of the workforce at companies such as Google and Apple are predominantly White and Asian men. As a result of this, Intel allocated $300 million in an effort to increase diversity. If this ends up being a success, the population of women, Blacks and Hispanics could possibly increase by 14%. The $300 million will be used in the next three years to introduce more women and minorities and improve diversity in the big tech companies.
