Hone Your Presentation Skills
For anyone interested in developing their presentation skills, the Dean's Office across the street is holding a session of 'Own the Room' tomorrow. I'm sure you'll learn a lot of other cool business-ey phrases as well. Details below: Date: Friday, April 4th Time: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Location: Davis Auditorium Are you prepping for interviews? Presenting your research at conferences, or giving a talk to colleagues? Launching a start-up and need to perfect your elevator pitch? Then "Own the Room" is for you! This is a great opportunity for both students and faculty to hone your public speaking and overall communication skills–this program will help you tell your story and “own the room.” You will improve your presentation skills, tap into your creative side, and rethink the power of storytelling in your professional life. This session will be led by Own the Room CEO Bill Hoogterp, who has developed a methodology and technology that helps people quickly become better speakers, presenters, and communicators, all in a fun, collegial atmosphere.
