Zhou has a diverse background combing the study/experience in Cognitive Psychology, Software Engineering, and Second Language Learning. Originally from China with a B.A. in English and minor in Computer Science at University of Science and Technology of China, Zhou came to TC to pursue Ed.D. degree in Instructional Media and Technology.
Zhou joined EdLab in 2008 and is currently an Innovation Fellow serving as a link point between Education and Technology. Zhou’s past projects include notably Vialogues, and TC Route Finder. Currently Zhou is leading the development of the Rock and Roll Forever website, the YoungArts website, and the new Vialogues player. He is also actively working on a cool project in which EdLab will collaborate with teachers, professors, students, and technologists to review hundreds of learning apps on mobile devices.
Zhou has over 7 years experience in developing dynamic websites and interactive web applications. He has published a dozen of papers at national conferences. He has also taught multimedia design for one year in the higher education sector.
