Bio:

Oumar Soumahoro is currently a junior at the High School of Arts and Imagination on the Martin Luther King Jr. Campus (MLK) on the Upper West Side. He currently interns at the EdLab as an assistant analyst for the Development and Research group. Oumar plans on majoring in computer science and/or economics when he starts college in the fall of 2013.

Oumar is a defender for MLK’s highly rated boys varsity soccer team. He led the team to the 2011 NYC title (their 13th title in 15years) as they finished the season ranked #5 in the country by ESPN, Powerade, and NSCAA/Adidas. He plays club soccer for South Bronx United. A native of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Oumar is fluent (reading, writing and speaking) in French.
