Bio:
Skanda Amarnath is a sophomore at Columbia College at Columbia University and is double-majoring in Mathematics and Economics. In the past year, he has written for both the Columbia Political Review and the Columbia Economics Review. As a member of the Education Center Working Group at the Columbia University chapter of The Roosevelt Institute, he has pursued his recent interest in understanding how technology can be harnessed to better observe teacher quality. He will also be the Editor-in-Chief of Columbia Economics Review in the upcoming 2011-2012 year. He tends to believe that while good education policy is always helpful, technological innovation will ultimately be the most effective channel for improving the quality and efficiency of human capital acquisition. He currently works in the EdLab Development and Research group as a Collaborative Solutions Group Analyst.
