Details & Back-story:

Part of the second graduating class from the Imagine K-12 edtech incubator/accelerator in Palo Alto, CA, EdShelf is a customizable directory of online tools, apps, and websites for educators. EdShelf's interface allows users to easily display, compare, and select favorite "apps" on a virtual bookshelf.

Founded around the mission of helping educators discover, review, and organize ed-focused applications, EdShelf tries to "reduce the friction" that naturally occurs when you combine a plethora of available online resources and a deficit of reliable rating systems. Learn about the EdShelf team here.

Unique Point of Difference:
EdShelf seems to possess the elusive three qualities of edtech products: 1) Easy to use interface 2) Beautiful, sleek design and 3) It provides a service that is lacking in the ed-tech industry— ratings and reviews.

EdLab Relevance:
As we build out and evolve our adaptive learning database, it is important to remember the value of a sleek, easy to use platform and user interface. EdShelf is an exemplar of both of these ideals.

Our Takeaway:
Easy to use, beautifully designed resource for finding, storing, and rating learning applications.
