Skanda's most recent Economics & Education post about the value of College led me to "UnCollege." According to the website, "UnCollege is a social movement empowering you to create tomorrow — with or without letters after your name." Its founder, Dale J. Stephens, is a 19-year-old entrepreneur and Thiel Fellow. You can read more about it here here.

For a counterpoint though, check out this piece titled, "A college education is your best bet" by Joseph E. Aoun is president of Northeastern University in Boston.

Also, read "Why Liberal Arts Matter" by Michael S. Roth, president of Wesleyan University.

Also, check out Dale on Vialogues:

I recently read this interesting piece.

Instead of Student Loans, Investing in Futures

It mentions there's only 7 percent of the world’s population currently has a college degree. Reasons vary. but after all, MONEY is a big issue in the system. So the question Fixes raised, Is it possible to finance higher education the way we finance start-up companies?

Is it possible? or we simply need no schools?
