EdLab's Publishing Team develops and supports a handful of systems for online publishing. From home-grow systems to third-party, open source systems (e.g., Drupal, Wordpress, Moveable Type, Open Journal Systems, etc.), EdLab aims to match content creators with tools that enhance their online presence.
For example, as part of an effort to provide expedient publication solutions to scholarly journal editors, EdLab evaluated and implemented installations of Open Journal Systems (OJS), created by the Public Knowledge Project at the University of British Columbia. OJS allows for online submission management, fully configurable section requirements, and enhanced reading tools. Using OJS, EdLab hosts two journals published out of Teachers College, Columbia University: Working Papers in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, and the International Journal for the History of Mathematics Education.
