Yamisee
Yamisee is a live online learning platform that creates an entirely new marketplace for teachers and subject matter experts to share their knowledge. Much in the way eBay connects buyers with sellers, Yamisee connects independent experts with paying students. Providing everything an instructor needs to conduct classes and earn money through live online learning events is why Yamisee was selected as a 2009 Company to Watch by the Connecticut Technology Council.

David Dean, founder of Yamisee, will host a discussion on the continued evolution of live online learning while introducing the Yamisee marketplace in an interactive presentation. Mr. Dean is a seasoned Internet technology veteran. Before creating Yamisee, Mr. Dean was SVP of Engineering at Weight Watchers and prior to that led the technology and product management functions for Modem Media, a public interactive marketing services company.
