"A Brief History of Pretty Much Everything"
In light of supporting the creative spirit around us here at EdLab (especially honoring a Collaborative Solutions Group event today), I wanted to point you to a video piece created and published by a 17-year-old Jamie Bell (a.k.a. DispleasedEskimo on YouTube).
He created this for an art class over the period of three weeks using about 2,100 sheets of paper and ballpoint pens - and now enjoys over 920,000 views. It has also been featured on Wired.com and praised for its creativity and execution.
This is just one example of what excites students of today, what they are capable of, and perhaps how teachers (and employers) should orient themselves towards students for whom digital technology is a medium of expression.
